Hope I have all the ingredients

Oops forgot to count some extras

Now my calculations are a mess!!


Wake up early 

Do some meal prep

Baking too

Maid's come in late

What to do!!!!


Tired by evening

Need a nap

Why can't the boys help?

Why can't they understand?


Guests here

I've a headache

Can't wait till they leave

Have to tidy the kitchen

Someone help me please!!


Totally identify with Martha

She'd put in so much

To serve a good meal

She didn't mean to make a fuss.

The meal was her service

Her worship for our Lord

She wasn't asking for a miracle

Just for her sister to help.


So not fair what Jesus did

Ticked her off like that

He should have known better

Mary was lazy - that's a fact.


Talking about choices

Hmmpphh!!

Jesus was a foodie

And there was always

A crowd following

So many mouths to feed.


Jesus was saying

As I hear Him now

'Don't freak out!!

Just go with the flow!!


You're a perfectionist

You're trying too hard

Your to do list is endless!

You're a mass of stress!!


Chill...relax

Rest in My presence

You're important to me

I love Your food

I see your work

But I also see deep

In your soul

And I see You need 

Acceptance

And Peace.


Don't want to see you

My daughter

Tying yourself 

up in knots!!

Abundant life

And grace

 is found in Me

Here at the cross.


I'll bear your burden

I'll help carry your load

Come walk with me

Together on this road.'


Lord, I'm scared

What if I goof up

Make a mess

Don't want to

End up with

Egg on my face.


'Here, hold My hand

Trust Me

I'm there

You don't need to be scared'


Here goes Lord

You take the wheel

I'm gonna listen to You

You drive 

You direct

That's the best I can do!!
