Our lives 

Run 

By the clock…

Time's 

Moving hands

Flashing digits

the hour glass

Sinking sands

Mechanical 

Tick tocks


There's some time

A window..

Of opportunity,

And

In the meantime,

While we're

At something else..

Somebody's done it

In no time at all..

While I'm

Behind time…

Nearly all the time!


For the longest time,

We work with time tables

And times tables..

At some point of time

The good times

Fly by

The bad times

Painfully long..

Test our mettle

Weak or strong..


We catch up

With friends

For old times sake

And remember the 

Good old days…


We'd like 

To think

That 

we're right

All the time,

But only 

time will tell..

Of Ecclesiastes

Gave much time

And thought

When he wrote 

About the 

Different 

Times 

And seasons..

Highs and lows

Ups and downs

Ebs and flows..

Life as it goes..


In the fullness of time,

The Good Book says,

That's

At the right time

In the right place..

The tribe of Issachar

Wise men

Who knew the times..

Daniel too

Prophesied 

Signs of

The times...


Before time was 

He is

And 

God is good

 all the time..

In times of

Testing

Troubles

Trials..

He's working

ALL things

For our good

We wait on Him

And He brings 

It to pass

At the right time..


He 

Planned us

Right from

The beginning

Of time..

Our timelines

Written out

Good plans

Bursting with hope..


His tender

Father heart

Waits for us..

Patiently

Lovingly

As long as

It takes..

Forgives sins

Pardons mistakes..


Jesus' death

Rugged cross

Time splitter

History creator

Timeless

Atonement

Eternal life 

Ensured

Contradictory moment...


The end times

May seem 

Bizarre

Incomprehensible..

But right now

Time of grace..

Each moment

His loving

Presence

Keeps us 

Each step

Of the way..


Our finite lives

Here today

Gone tomorrow

Moments of

Joy

Mingled with

Sorrow..


We need 

His wisdom

To live 

Our lives

Purpose

And significance

We ask 

He gives..

Adds 

Length to our lives

Life to our days….
