I don't know

Lord I don't know where these words come from

I haven't got a clue

But this one thing I'm sure of

This gift is from You.

You're my Creator my Sustainer

 the author of my faith

And if this is what You ask me to share

Let me not hide it away.

A broken vessel, a jar of clay

Sometimes I've struggled without hope

Relied on my own strength, fallen short

And have come to the end of my rope.

But now I'm glad where I am

And the path You've brought me through

'Cause I've never been alone

Beside me there's always been You

So I lay down my defenses

You've broken my chains

Now I'm a prisoner of hope

And that's where I'd like to remain

And Lord, the way ahead is scary

And we can't always feel Your hand

But let us move from feelings

And trust in Your good plans

And Lord make us blessings

To others in distress

Through quiet carrying out of our duty

Or a thought and warm embrace

Be a city on a hill

Shine our light charged by You

Be witnesses to Your saving grace

To Jesus..the Way, the Life and the Truth.
