Love doughnuts

Crispy golden

Soft sweetness

Can't stop with one..


Yesterday had a 

Close encounter

Giant doughnut

CT scanner.


One inviting

The other kinda scary

Shape 

The only similarity..


A hole in the center

'Cause the inside doesn't cook

Go through the centre

See how your innards look!


Glad all was good

Phew what a relief!!

Need something sweet to eat

No prizes for guessing, please!


Don't want to be a doughnut

In shape definitely

Don't want to have 

A center that's empty.


With only a shell 

Deceptive 

When you reach the center

Nothing more there..


Want to be centred

On Him

Foundation of my life

Unshakeable 

Because storms will strike.


Winds of change

Howl and blow

But the Rock as my center

I'm safe and secure.


He's unchanging

His plans the best

With Him as my Center

I can cling to Him and rest.
