A cuppa chai.        13.5.20

Need some company

Are you available, Lord?

Nothing exciting

Just a regular day

The usual things

That get in my way.

That chap who

Gets my goat

Even after all these years.

I've tried to be kind

But he just gets worse.

I'm in the right

Of course You know that

I mean You're all seeing

All knowing

Aren't those facts?

And I goofed majorly today

Stuck my foot in my mouth

Could not resist saying that

now when I look back..

Doesn't really make me proud.

And then I snapped

At my little boy too

My heart broke

When I saw his face droop.

A cuppa chai

For You and me?

Your listening ear

For me and my misery..

You upset with me?

You've every reason to be.

We're just mid week..

The Sunday sermon's still

Ringing in my memory.

Can't see You very well

Let me wipe my eyes

Must be the hormones

I don't usually cry...

What's that You're saying?

'Give me your load

I'll help carry it

And you.

It's a long road.'

Are You sure, Lord?

Yes, I heard You right..

'My load is easy

My burden light'

Guess You mean it Lord

Wow that's huge

I mean You know

How messy I am..

And man, my attitude..

Ok, I'm in..

Can't handle life on my own..

So here I am

And actually..

So glad to be home!!
