This morning.

I saw a shooting star this morning

 whizzing over my head

'I'm God's amazing wonder'

Yelled the meteor as he sped.

I heard a birdie serenading the dawn

Chirps and trills of joy

'His eye is on me' he sang out loud

The notes brimming with hope.

I saw the mahua tree this morning

Flowers dropping heavy with juice

'Its time for us to do our thing' they said

Sweet fragrance distilling with the dew.

I saw rocks and hills this morning

          Steady and unyielding

          Whispering 'He is THE rock

On Him you will never be shaken'

I saw the greatest miracle at dawn

The stars bowing off the stage

The eastern sky glowing pink

Our good old earth had turned.

His hand, I saw, this morning

This day, already written in His book

His still small voice "my child, take courage,

I am in control'.

I find myself in a knot right now

Circumstances and folks beyond my control

'Lift your eyes,' He said, 'they're my loved ones too'

'Learn from and lean on me.'

I thought about the headlines

Incessant voices of pain and despair

' Be there my child', He spoke

'Bring my love, life and peace.'

' I bore their pain, Their sickness and disease'

lived and died like them

I live again and there find your hope

Death is not the end.

'Nothing happens beyond my control'

Each day was meant to be

'You were made for a time like this'

'So be strong, be bold- I am who I am' said He.
